Flower mail: How to ship your bridal bouquet out of state to have it preserved.

Sounds... complex doesn't it? But if you cannot find a local preservation artist that you love near you, putting your bridal bouquet in the mail may be your best bet.

More-so than safe shipping practices, caring for your flowers before sending them to us may be more effective in making sure these babies arrive alive.

On your wedding day:

  • Keep your flowers in water when possible. Don't stress yourself out about this too much, just set it back down in a vase of water instead of laying it down on a table.
  • Stay away from direct sunlight. Just like the suggestion above, don't set it down in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time.
  • Make sure the water in the vase is clean, change the water daily!
  • Give your flowers a fresh cut once a day along with fresh water.
  • Order "hawaiian mist" or "finishing touch" hydration spray on amazon before your wedding weekend. Mist those babies as often as you can!
  • After your wedding, keep them in the fridge. NOT the freezer.

How to ship your bridal bouquet to Petal Collective for preservation:

  • Give the stems a fresh cut (1-2 inches off the bottom)
  • Wet a paper towel and wrap it around the stems
  • Put a ziplock bag over the paper towel that is around the stems
  • Rubber-band the ziplock bag
  • Find a box your bouquet fits snuggly in
  • Make a nest for your bouquet with paper (no plastic) packing materials so that it doesn't rattle around but is not crushed
  • Add a note with your full name and wedding date
  • Overnight the bouquet to us!
  • PRO TIP: print and pay for your shipping label ahead of time so you can quickly drop the package off at the post office after your wedding
